This warranty does not extend to normal wear and tear, or damage caused by abuse, misuse or<\/strong><\/p>\n negligence. ABC will cover<\/p>\n transport costs arising<\/p>\n from repair or replacement under the terms of this Warranty during the<\/p>\n first 12 months of the Warranty period. After 12 months transport costs are to be met by the purchaser.<\/p>\n The transport cost in this instance is from $40.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n ABC reserves the right to substitute material of equal quality on the<\/p>\n particular items being repaired or replaced if identical material is not available<\/p>\n at the time of repair or replacement.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Body Impressions, (small indentations)<\/p>\n are normal on the surface of any new mattress whilst the upholstery filling is<\/p>\n levelling to a final position and getting used to your body contours. This does<\/p>\n not constitute a manufacturing fault. On a pillowtop mattress, up to 35mm<\/p>\n height loss is considered normal. There are important tips to know when considering a slat base to<\/strong><\/p>\n compliment your mattress.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Correct mattress support is an<\/strong><\/p>\n important element in providing long life for the mattress. Mattresses always<\/strong><\/p>\n follow the contour of whatever they rest on. If placed on any base that dips<\/strong><\/p>\n down, even under the load of one or two sleepers, the guarantee may be voided.<\/strong><\/p>\n Bases dipping or sagging allow the mattress to sag, causing the top cover to<\/strong><\/p>\n wrinkle. This includes but is not limited to \u201cposture slat\u201d bases.<\/strong><\/p>\n Sleepers may<\/strong><\/p>\n experience roll together through inadequate support. Some slat\/mesh type bases<\/strong><\/p>\n may require a center rail and a leg to the floor to prevent dipping or sagging,<\/strong><\/p>\n particularly in Double, Queen and King sizes. Timber slats must be a smooth<\/strong><\/p>\n finish to prevent splinter and scuffing damage and be securely fastened to the<\/strong><\/p>\n frame at each end. A breathable insulating pad or blanket over the slats is<\/strong><\/p>\n advisable. Slats over 14cm wide may cause mildew by not allowing moisture to<\/strong><\/p>\n evaporate sufficiently. Solid panel timber bases must have sufficient air holes<\/strong><\/p>\n drilled to permit dispersal of moisture and prevent mildew. Bases must always be firm, even and supportive. Gaps<\/strong><\/p>\n between uncovered slats must not exceed 10cm, anything exceeding this does not<\/strong><\/p>\n ably support the spring system and can void the warranty. <\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n A base that is too hard, too soft, not<\/strong><\/p>\n supportive, or restricts air circulation may damage your mattress and void this<\/strong><\/p>\n guarantee. <\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The company reserves the right not to<\/strong><\/p>\n handle items for repair if, in its opinion, they have been tampered with or misused<\/strong><\/p>\n by the purchaser beyond reasonable wear or if the product has been physically<\/strong><\/p>\n damaged intentionally or due to accident and\/or neglect: including burns, cuts,<\/strong><\/p>\n water damage, mold, stains, soiled by blood or urine and if it is unsanitary.<\/strong><\/p>\n Use of a mattress protector is advisable at all times.
